SYDNEY 4 February 2019 – Visionary, the real estate development, investment, hotel and lifestyle management company, confirms it has submitted three Development Applications (DAs) for adjacent sites in Macquarie Park.

These applications relate to 86 Waterloo Road, 88 Waterloo Road and 8 Cottonwood Crescent.

Visionary has exchanged contracts to acquire all of the apartments that comprise the existing buildings at these properties and has commenced completion of the acquisitions.

It aims to deliver more than 600 homes for c.1,300 residents, a hotel, commercial space and retail facilities that provide 18/7 cosmopolitan food and beverage offering.

The buildings are surrounded by three open green public areas and are bounded on the south by Shrimptons Creek – so will bring real ‘park life’ to Macquarie Park.

The project has a five-year-plus horizon.

Visionary is a wholly-owned and operated Australian company.

According to the Greater Sydney Commission’s North District Plan, 196,350 additional people are expected to live in this district in 20 years, which is 11% of Greater Sydney’s forecasted growth.

92,000 additional dwellings in the North District are required throughout the next 20 years to accommodation the population growth, which means an average 4,600 new homes are required each year to meet demand.

The Ryde area, and the North District (defined by the Greater Sydney Commission), show an undersupply of homes today and a predicted additional c.1,000 homes needed each year to meet population growth projections
